I made some more progress yesterday. The broke tree is gone, and I redid the girls hands to get them to a more natural size and position. I also changed the sweater to an orange color because I think it will look a lot nicer set agains the cool colors of the jet and the sky bnehind. The roundtable still feels a bit small and I’ll figure out what I want to do with it once the rest of the paint around it dries. I’m using alkyd to speed it up, but I don’t want to blend anything else at this stage. The girls eyes were giving me a lot of trouble yesterday, but I was right up on the painting the whole time and forgot to step back to see it as a whole and that was a big mistake.

Today I think I’ll spend some more time on the Jet, trying to get it positioned farther back in space, and then possibly get some more of the golden hay colors and textures on the field behind the girl.
